Be Your Best

How was your week?  What did you achieve? Did you look after yourself? Stick to all the rules like 2 serves of fruit and 5 serves of Veg?  Have you stopped smoking?  How much time did you spend drinking alcohol?

Well if you have been tired, depressed or not achieving your goals, I bet you didn't stick to the rules.  I know it is hard to find the motivation so I'm going to make it easy for you.  From now on you will follow my instructions at the bottom of this page and you will be feeling great in no time at all.  I know I'm not perfect but everything has become so much clearer.  I'm loosing weight and achieving great things.

The picture above is my husband Greg and I setting out on a 25km gruelling training route for the Kokoda Challenge.  The Kokoda Challenge is Australia's toughest endurance bushwalking team event where participants walk non stop for 96km scaling summits of 5000m of vertical elevation.  We travelled Route 1 and Route 2 on Friday which was incredibly steep.  To add a little bit more of an adventure I accidentally left the car keys to our second vehicle in the first vehicle so we had to walk another 8 km back to the car.  At least it was along the road and not to harsh, but I will never live that error down.

Greg is training for the Kokoda Challenge which will be held on the 15th, 16th and 17th July 2011.  Our family goal is the Kokoda Track in PNG in September 2011.  We trained as a family on Saturday and Sunday.  Saturday we walked 7 km from Polly's Kitchen over another very gruelling hill but at least when you reach the top it is all down hill on the other side. This was a good start for the children who have just started carrying a small pack each.  On Sunday we walked Mt Warning which is 4.4km up with the last 400 meters requiring a chain because it is so steep.  The photo is attached. Email me if you would like me to video our next trip.

I have so much to tell you but you will have to come back next week.  I will blog every Sunday Night so follow us and find your own inspirations.

These are your instructions for this week.

1. STOP SMOKING - Do what you have to do to quit.  See your Doctor or see my website http://www.mequitsmoking.com/ for assistance.
2.  Exercise for one hour a day, start out slow then build yourself up according to your level of fitness.
3.  Eat the right foods, we all know what we should be eating but it does take self discipline.
4.  For 5 minutes a day write out the outcome you wish to achieve. eg. I am a non-smoker.

THESE SMALL INSTRUCTIONS COULD SAVE YOUR LIFE.

Make Each Day Count

Once you see that there is absolutely no reason to be a smoker you will be on the right track to achieving your goals.  All you need is the right mindset and the sky is the limit.  For assistance and great products to help you on your journey go to http://www.mequitsmoking.com/

I gave up smoking some time ago and I'm currently giving up alcohol and bad food.  Each day I'm feeling younger, healthier and new opportunities continue to appear.  I'm thinking clearer, sleeping better, more motivated and achieving more than ever before. I'm also saving money and with the extra in the bank our family is planning to walk the Kokoda Trail, Papua New Guinea in September 2011.  I thought I'd share our journey with you as I'm sure there is a message that everyone can relate to.
  • Are you tired all the time
  • Are you eating to much junk food
  • Are you drinking too much
  • Are you in a rut at work or at home
  • Do you have teenagers that need motivation
  • Do you need motivation
  • Do you have too many home duties
Over the next few months.  I'll be giving you tips on how to combat all these hurdles that life throws at you.  I plan to inspire families to set new goals and to achieve them.  You get to see how we live with our chooks, pig, dogs, cat, birds, fish, bearded dragon and guinea pigs.  We even get a snake or two to relocate occasionally.  I'll be using photos and video to make this story interesting.

Let me introduce Sasha as a pup and Trixie as a kitten.

Please join my family and I on this site each week as we share our journey.
